Shirin Polo is the traditional dish for celebrations in paricular weddings. I personally believe you eat it once and you are either blessed with eternal bliss or a life of misery! Thats my personal feeling. Others eat it regularly and are happy.
I find its one of the favorite Persian recipe amongst my non-Persian friends.
Its a sweet rice with carrots, orange zest, pistachios and almonds. There is no meat in this recipe and it is usually accompanied with roast baby chicken.
- Orange zest
- Orange blossom water
- Oil and:or butter
